Enter the witness protection program -

I know someone who works in the dealership, who shall remain nameless for job securities sake. He advised me to call Honda, and complain to them, they would have some pull on this situation. He also told me that the situation was no longer in only the dealer's hands, but now in the district manager's hands. Lovely It is his decision as to the fate of my car.

This *someone* also noted that Tammy, as a service writer, sucks (sorry Sondra, his words not mine). She plays it into the dealership's hands in situations like this, and is not an advocate of the customer. I was advised to speak with Bill Oliviay, also a service writer there. He has a track record for being fair, and unbiased. I'll speak to him in the morning. I AM going to speak with SEMA this evening to see what they can do on their end. And if all else fails, there is always terrorism

The CRX is loud. I want an exhaust, and I want my S2k fixed.

This is just a question BUT could it be the springs? My wife's '94 Accord just got a bubble in the side wall and the service writer advised me to replace BOTH front tires to keep the circumference the same and put less stress on the transaxle.

Couldn't the springs change the stresses on the differential. I really hope AHM covers John's fix, but, maybe the springs were the culprit? Certainly the problem putting the space saving spare in the rear is similar, and the warning to not drive far with the front tire on the rear. Or did I just make that up?

I'm no engineer so I'm asking to draw more comments from engineering types.

I'm lucky here because there is one Honda dealer to choose from and I'll just put my faith in them and not worry about it. My only worry is that my warranty might run out before I've driven enough miles to show the problems. Maybe '01 will be less trouble prone.

Nope. That is all about having the same diameter wheel on both sides not height.

Time to start talking attorney and what a sono***** he is on consumer type cases he is. You would be surprised what a difference it makes when they think you are either an attorney or well connected.

Good luck and don't bend or give in.

Bill Olivier is also on the case. I spoke to him as well, and for future reference, I'd be careful what you write here. I have given Bill the address to this website to draw a copy of TSB55 from. It's likely that he will look at other posts as well...

I hope he does read my posts here. As long as this saga continues, good or bad, I will continue to post here. And if it escalates further, I will put up a webpage detailing each and every painful step that it took to resolve the issue. I do promise to post only the truth, and thus far that is the only thing that has been posted by my fingers on this keyboard.

Oh yeah, and on top of everything else, I just got a cold. It's just not my week.
