2 words : It broke
Oh man, that reminds me of the sticker on my friend's new Z3, which states that, among many other things, using a cell phone in the car could cause extensive damage and void the warranty!
I'll have to try to get a picture of it...

My 3rd update of the day.
After waiting almost 6 hours, Tammy from Autoway Honda in Clearwater FL called me back. She stated that I needed to authorize teardown on the car, then a Honda rep would come out, inspect the damage, and then it would be decided if it was covered. At that time, if it was NOT covered, she stated I would be responsible for the $400.00 + tax labor charges for the tear down. I didn't even bother telling her it's illegal to charge tax on straight labor
I then mentioned TSB55 and she mentioned that one of her good customers had the same complaint, and that she did not qualify. I asked who it was, as I might know her. She said her name was Sondra, and that she was a good customer of hers. I mentioned that I was her brother (because I am), and her tone changed completely. She immediately treated me with a more respectful tone...interesting. I thought that Sondra DID qualify for the TSB fix, or at least she did get the grind under the said conditions. Sounds like she's skating work left and right here, but I could be off base.
I'm no contemplating what to do. I'd like to get your opinions as to what you would do if you were in my situation. I will listen to your suggestions. I am also going to call Honda, bitch to them, as well as contacting SEMA to hear their say on it.
On the bright side, my 1.8 liter DOHC VTEC CRX Si fired to life today. It will be my only mode of transportation until this is resolved. Right now, it has no interior, the gauge cluster is not working, and the exhaust is dumping straight out of the 2.5 inch collector (ie, no cat, no exhaust). At least it's transportation at the very least. I've still got break in miles to do on it, which includes doing figure 8's for 45 minutes to break in the clutch pack differential.
Sinking further into the depression, signing off...

I was at the Honda dealer today and spoke to Tammy also. She stated that they hadn't seen TSB-55, and in fact, when they tried to retrieve it from their computer, they were unable to pull it up. The service manager gave me his email addy and asked me to email the link to TSB-55 here on S2000online.
I believe that this dealership is really trying to do right by both John and American Honda. At this point, I was told, it's all in the hands of American Honda once it's torn down to see what actually happened. They've always done right by me (with the exception of trying to rip me off to BUY an S2000, but that's sales and not service), so I have faith that they will do all they can in this situation.
