Speaking of the Gran Mariners, wahoo - GO M's

I've been to Acura dealerships in the Seattle area that do mods to new cars, and sell them saying the warranty is not affected. One of the cars was a Integra GSR, with a Jackson SC, and a whole sh!tpot full of other mods. Brand NEW!

One catch to this, they charged a ton-o-$ for this stuff, and it didn't come with the stock components they took off, ie (WHEELS, TIRES...)

All I know is that I'm hoping the best for our Friend Vapor Trail! I hope it's not going to be not much more painful, has he's gone through alot of *hit already! If you'd like, I believe I've got an email containing the VP of America's phone number. Of course it'll be handled by a nice lady on the other line that will listen to your concerns, and you'll get the line of "ever dealer is independent", but this may be one powerful ally. give me an email if you'd like it.
I do like the updates Vapor Trail, I'll keep reading this thread. Keep us posted and CHEER UP! It's done, it can only get better now!

Aft3rburn, if you have that email available, please forward it to vapor.trail@gte.net at your earliest convience - I'd appreciate it.

changing the differential angle can have negatimve effects. I've been drag racing for quite some time and went through a number of pieces/parts from the fly wheel back to the rear end when trying to get clearence for a set of large slicks. Although you lowered your car as opposed to raising it, you still changed the differtial angle. I'm not saying that it caused the problem and I hope you get it fixed. Just be aware that extreem diff angles can put stress on the fly wheel, transmission, u joints, drive shaft, and read diff.

Gee, I'm so surprised . John - That is exactly what the Ford service manager insisted caused premature gear wear on my wife's '96 Mustang GT. I had Steeda sport springs installed (1" lower) at Steeda, a well respected Mustang tuner. Like Tox suggested, the fine folks at Ford maintained that I changed the angle of the drive shaft into the differential, and that caused the failure. After a lot of insistence from me (this was the third time in for this particular repair), they allowed me to have Steeda do the repair. Big surprise - the ring gear had excessive clearance with the pinion, causing the noise . They did wind up reimbursing me for the repair, but it was a big hassle. At least the tech at Steeda got a 6-pack of beer out of it .

I hope that Honda isn't stinky about it and this situation works out for you!

If I do not have a resolution to this problem by the end of this week, I will begin chronicling this saga there as well as here on the board. I remember a Chevy Impala (or was it a Malibu?) owner who had a dispute with a Chevy dealer on a warrenty claim. Although much different from my situation, ultimately the webpage and it's story are what won the dealer over due to bad press. But, I will give Autoway, Tammy, Bill, and Honda a chance before I get nasty. I'm going to meet them in person today. Seeing as I'm a skinny, greasy mechanic looking 23 year old who will be pulling up in an open header'd CRX, I doubt I will get much respect - which will anger me all that much more!

Oh, and BTW, my S2000 was lowered about 1 inch, and professionally aligned afterwards. Camber and toe checked in at factory tolerances.
