I hope OP will keep us posted on his sale whatever way he goes. This is interesting to me because I am sitting on a 2003 Silverstone/Black with OEM Hardtop and under 18K miles. I don't think I will sell. But if this thing ends up in the high 20s or 30K I might have to reconsider. Could be better than my IRA account.

My plan was to get the car ready in March and get photos done. I need it to stop snowing in Colorado first. I wont even try to sell it until they sweep the salt and sand off the roads and the snow is melted. The way this year is going it could be April or maybe May if things don't improve.

To the OP. Everything that has been said here is true: Craigslist and local ads can work well if the right person is searching and yes, Bring-a-Trailer has brought some sky high pricing, but it has also brought some average prices as well. Prices vary depending on the time of year, part of the country etc...Yes, S2000s have been appreciating in value fast just like the housing market but just like the housing market it can get a little too high too fast and then there is a pull back. In my humble opinion, this is what has happened recently with both classic cars and houses. Due to taxes, interest rates, etc, I do believe both cars and homes are slightly cooling off right now. Just because a car sold for $25K last month does not guarantee it will sell for $26K this month and so on.
With that being, I just spent over a year looking for a 1-owner, under 20K mile, no accident, 2000-2003 Honda S2000 just like yours and I found a great one 4 months ago and it now sits in my garage covered with a trickle charger. I feel like I looked at almost every S2000 in the country either in person or online. I have seen all conditions and all asking prices. I feel that the ultimate fair market value for your car is $19K-$25K. Yes, that is a big range but you are also hoping for the right person to pay the premium and that may take a while. If I were selling I would list at just under $25K and settle on anything in the $20K-$23K range - that would be a fair and reasonable selling price.

My experience with BAT was less than stellar last summer. My 2001 had 11800 miles at the time, and is spotless in every way imaginable. The problem I ran into is their "open forum" model, which meant that people not remotely interested in purchasing the car, can come and throw in their 2 cents not against the car for sale, but the person selling it. In my case, the person attacking me had never even submitted a bid on their site, but BAT did nothing about it. I do feel that the value of the car was affected, and at the end the car did not meet reserve, which has been a blessing in disguise, since I like the car enough to keep it, and I know when the time comes to sell it won't be worth less. By the way, I'm at 13,000 miles now. Good luck with the sale.

Expecting top dollar from listing on BaT is foolish IMHO. Place a reasonable reserve on the car and see where it goes, if no sale, list by more tradition means.

Good to know. I'm not sure I want to put up with a bunch of nasty opinionated people if thats common on BAT. I might try the local craigslist first. If that fails then ebay or cars.com. I sold my fathers 2006 LJ Jeep Rubicon on ebay in 2012 for $28,500. He paid $26,000 for it brand new in 2006. Granted, it only had about 12,000 miles on it when i sold it.
Not sure on the plan yet but i appreciate the suggestions.
