My 2001 S2000 is great and it would take NSX like improvements to get me to change...

I hope it is true. My next car will be an SUV either way. But it would be nice for the S2000 to see improvements. I'd hate for the S2000 to be dormant like the NSX was for 13 years. I wonder what they talk about on their board every year. "New colors" New Tire Trim" "New headlights" "New radio" That would really suck to talk about the same old shit for 13 years. damn...

Why does this not surprise me?

Hmmm...no way you'll be out-draggin' those Camaro's and Vette's in a "manly" SUV...

What if he gets the Turboed Porsche Cayenne??
or the ML55 AMG? I think those SUVs might give a Vette something to think about. I saw C5s run at altitude, not impressed.

Agreed, I s'pose those would be options. If I had that kind of money, though, I definitely wouldn't be blowing it on a fake SUV...

I know what is gonna happend. Honda and chevy are going to shoehorn a modified version of the LS6 into the S2000. Since the LS6 only weighs about 120 lbs more then the F20C it is good choice. The push rods will be replaced with titanium rods with carbon fiber sheaths for added rigidity. The stroke will be shortened, to go from 5.7 liters to 5 liters. The redline will be increased from 6500 rpms to 7500 because of the titanium rods and shorter stroke. HP will go from 405 to 445, but torque will be down a little to 385!

The S2000 will only be hardtop and the X-frame will be gone because there will be no need for it since it won't be a convertible. This will end up lowering the total weight of the car to 2650! The transmission will be moved to the rear to make up for the added weight in the front from the engine. This will allow the SZ5000 to still have a 50/50 weight distribution!

oh yeah, all new quaife diff and 7 speed sequential transmission F1 style baby!!
full coil over suspension, with 18 inch super light wheels and 14inch rotors in the front.

Total cost $40k.
0-60 3.6
0-100 7.9
standing 1/4 11.0 132mph

hehe
