2004 Model Announcement
I guess, relatively speaking, the S2000 is limited production. However, the reality is that it does not matter what the dealership asks for the car, because nobody has to pay more than invoice or maybe MSRP for the car...EVER. Granted, when everyone else really wants one and HAS to have it, the dealership will pass up your offer and go for the suckers out there (you all know who you are). However, if you wait a little bit or shop smart, the deals are out there...
I really love the car. I really want one. However, I absolutely refuse to pay over MSRP (and will probably split the difference between invoice and MSRP), so I am willing to wait.
I was talking to a dealership yesterday and they dropped the asking price by over $5k when I said I wouldn't even waste my time starting talks above MSRP...
Now, I love the speculation about what might come in future generations. I think change is good for the car and for the current owners. I also think that hype is just that...hype...and I will pay for the car what I feel it's worth to me when the time is right.
