Default 28000 miles adjustments?

Hi all,

I have a problem with my car since last week.

The problem is the following: When I'm speeding up, I not feel the push of the engine until 8000rpm. I mean, before I felt that push at 6000rpm and now I think that the car lose power between 7000 and 8000 rpm, it's very strange. I have spoken with the garage and the responsible have said me that this happens in cars with 45000kms (28000miles) and that the engine need to be adjusted and regulated. My car is under guarantee but he told me that I have to pay for this adjusts. Do you know anything about these adjustments?

Thanks for all.

Sounds to me like all you need to do is wack the MAP sensor.

Just to make sure, the car's completely warmed up when you have this problem?

I'd start with checking the oil level. The only thing they can adjust for you would be the valves (or clutch pedal play?), but it's too early for that at 28000 miles and definitely not required.

You are not Stupid my friend. The "oil light" is a joke, forget about it. Just make sure to check the oil regularly in the future. The owner's manual suggest you do that every time you fill up the gas tank. If you haven't already read the owner's manual do it soon.

yeah dont rely on teh oil light. usually when it comes on, its too late and damage has already been done. its pathetic.

just from now on, always check your oil level at every fill up atleast. i personally like to check the oil every other day since i like being around my car.
