3rd gear shifting

"The manual transmission is synchronized in all forward gears for smooth operation. It has a lockout so you cannot shift directly from fifth to reverse instead of sixth (see page 148 ). When shifting up or down, make sure you push the clutch pedal down all the way, shift to the next gear, and let the pedal up gradually. When you are not shifting, do not rest your foot on the clutch pedal. This can cause your clutch to wear out faster." (page 147, 2008 owners manual)
I guess I'm going back to un-smooth shifting again. I hate pressing it to the floor all the time.

That's an easy one. Work on your shifting skills and you should be good.
If your transmission is smooth to begin with you should be happy. I had to go through some trial and error process to get it to be smooth.
