Hey I Know. Sometimes I get crazy ideas ...like reinventing the wheel......I swear the s2000 would be faster with triangle wheels instead of circle ones.........lol..... would the 4.77's drop you out of vtec on the 1-2 shift? Like the GTS?

A change in the rear end ratio would not change the way the tranny gears are spaced. It is the tranny gear spacing that determines what your engine speed would be after a gearshift.
To do what you are worried about, you would have to put in a new 1st or 2nd gear that would put a different spacing between those two.

4.11 -> 4.77 = 16%
240 X 116% = 278!
