4.77's and highway commute?

I don't see how this solves anything. You would top out at 130 in sixth and only 105 in 5th. That would suck big time.
Compare that to top speed of around 143 in sixth and 120 in 5th for an AP1.

He said tranny, not car.
The last two gears are longer(5th and 6th), meaning lower rpm's on the freeway with 4.77's in an AP1.

Just changing the gears to 4.77 in an Ap1 would have a top speed of 143 mph.
The final drive transfer ratio of an Ap1 is 1.16 vs. 1.206 on an Ap2.
So, while the AP2 does have a longer actual 5th and 6th gear, when the transfer ratio is included, you actually have very little rpm difference between the two when cruising in 5th or 6th. :
That would be a huge expense for an extra 3 mph up top.
In addition first gear would be like putting in 4.96 gears, which would be way too low for street applications. I have 4.77's and I need a stickier/wider tire to actually use this from a standing start. So, more gear down low would not be good.
Not trying to bash anyone here, just did the preliminary math and don't see this switch being a good fit.
