4th gear pop out
My 4th gear has popped out into neutral about 10 times now in 3500 miles. Much like other people are describing...
What I am wondering, has anyone had this fixed? If so what did they do and how long did it take for the dealer to actually do something?

With my first S2000 I also had the 4th gear popping out. My 2nd doesn't exhibit this. My dealer tried to fix it, but it didn't help back then. But I experienced the same as MSTW, it happened mainly during constant RPM's between 4000 and 5000 RPM. I don't think I've seen a reaction from anybody yet that had it fixed.
Damn, on a general note ... I have a feeling the gearbox does not hold up to the wear and tear experienced with all the 9000RPMs, clutch drops, normal abuse, heavy drive and RPM holding. This isn't very good Honda ... Time for a proper revision of the gearbox, will be good as a free upgrade to all makes since day one. Obviously this one doesn't seem to be doing too well ... All seems a question of time, where is the great design and types of gearboxes found in the S600s or S800s that had high RPMs of their time as well?
It has nothing to do with your driving.
I have this problem being resolved as we speak. My dealer is replacing sync related parts as he described them. I get the car back today. I will report the fix in as much detail as possible.
I thought I was alone. This is the first time I 've heard others report this problem. In past posts on this problem no other owners reported this as a problem.

My wife reported a first-gear pop out the other day. I have not yet had that happen. It isn't clear I would care too much about that particular gear. As I told her, I found it odd she did not have her hand on the shift knob if she was in first.
