I've got the pop-out problem too. It doesn't seem to do it much so it doesn't bother me. I always drive with one hand on the shifter so I can correct it quickly. I look for it when I'm revving low in 4th.

Honda does have a good fix for this problem. I got mine fixed and can no longer get it to fail. You do have to pay attention at the dealership as a lot of parts are removed and reinstalled and the attention to detail is not always what it should be.

Anyone know how much this fix would cost for out of warranty people?

Wes, if my car ran out of its warranty, I'd ask the techs at Jones Honda where Low-S2000 fixed his car for some tips and advise and bring it to Aamco, those guys are good and definitely cheaper than dealership rates.

I actually get a pretty decent hook up at my dealership, and I wouldn't have anyone other than my current mechanic work on my car. I'm definitely interested in finding some documentation on this fix.

Many thanks to 'mstw'. Since he gave the number (TSB01-100) I am getting the work AND I got a paper copy and emailed a scan of it to HondaGal. She should be posting it soon in the library.
