It bugs me that the turn signal stays on when making many turns.

What bugs me? Not much. Just took a 2.5 week 5000 mile round trip in mine with 2 people. Comfortable and sufficient trunk space. A little noisy, though but hey...... MPG ranged from mid 20s to nearly 29 at well beyond "rather high" speeds. Don't be a pussy.
I love the s2000, it's my daily so these things have bugged me at some point. I average around 16 MPG, so I definitely don't baby it. How was that road trip by the way? It'd be nice to do one at some point.
Wow, you REALLY don't baby it.

I average around 20 in mine, mostly city driving, very little of it in a sedate fashion. I manage to get about 17 mpg out of my M3 in the same circumstances. How do you manage 16 in an S2k?

I got 19.07mpg on my last tank, city driving, not too conservative, with sometimes, a 1/2 or 1 miles stretch of freeway in the middle (to avoid a 6-way intersection, that's a complete mess at rush hours). This current tank, I'm still in the city, yet being very conservative, speed limit, revs usually under 4K, cruising on the freeway across town at 3500K. I'm already seeing more miles out of the tank of gas, yet it seems rather boring.

I do mixed city and Highway. After everyone's been telling me my MPG is horrible I'm considering that I mightve been off on my math or maybe had a super heavy foot when I did it lol. Gonna average it at my next fill up again. I'll update this then.

I'd say mileage is a strong point on track compared to similarly powered cars. I can get 3 30 minute sessions in on a tank before I need to refuel, which is way better than a WRX or something like that.

I love the car but my gripes are:

How tight it is(I'm quite tall)
Availability of torque at low rpms. I've become spoiled by vehicles that make good torque below 5000rpm. You either drive the s2000 like a madman or a granny. No real middle ground.

15 MPG between track/highway seems reasonable.

16-20 MPG in purely street driving seems bonkers low. I've averaged 29.8 MPG in my 3500-4000 miles with the car & I'm in VTEC quite often.

How much time do you spend on the highway?

When I commute in the s2000 I tend to get around 23-25. That's also running a lot of errands, and a decent chunk of time on the highway.

Probably 60% of my driving is interstate, 10-15% is rural highway. A fair bit in rush hour traffic on the outskirts of a large-ish metro area.
