5 Things that bug me about the S2000
one bug that drives me up the wall...idc about the ratlles, my 03 accord came with invisible tap dancing squirrels...its not the lack of space( i find it cozy) or the lack of visibility ( really not that bad)
i HATE the notchy shifter. ive learned how to shift, and am shifting with the same consistency, still, why does it have to feel like that?
btw, i know its normal and everyone has already addressed this...ive gotten the tranny fluid changed
back then, i converted my 5spd k24 accord gear to a 6 speed TSX gearbox, and it too was very notchy, especially in the winter time...whats with honda and their notchy 6 speed gear boxes?

I'm running Motul Motylgear by the way.
This is kind of nitpicking, but the windshield wipers irritate the hell out of me. There is no adjustable intermittent setting. It seems like every time I drive in the rain, it's either too slow and I can't see, or its too fast and the wipers hop or screech on the dry glass.
My car is pretty much a daily driver, so it sees rain fairly frequently.

You can teach yourself to be able to look THROUGH the screen, & not see the water on it, unless it is very dirty water thrown up from the road by cars.
When I was flying off carriers we often had screens wet with spray, & no wipers on jets. We were taught to unfocus your eyes & look to infinity. You then bring your focus back in to 50 yards infront of the plane/car. You then can see past the screen, & barely notice what is on it.
It takes a little practice, but suddenly you can see through the wet. I found it helped racing open wheelers where you have no wipers. Usually you look over the screen, but have to look through it at times. It may take a day or two to get the knack, but you find suddenly it works. I rarely use wipers, other than to wash the screen.

TightnessTrunk Space- Visibility
MPG- Squeaks/ Rattles
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJ670...ature=youtu.be
- Tightness isn't a problem to me and I'm a fairly wide dude from all the lifting I do at 5'9" 190.
- Trunk space is great, I don't know what you're talking about. Compare it to any other roadster, we have at least twice the space of a Miata, Boxster, or Z3/4.
- Visibility is a problem with the top up, but is is in every convertible.
- MPG is OK, it does better at WOT on track than most cars. I can make it 3 sessions without a fillup, but 24-25mpg is pretty bad on the highway for a 2.2L engine
- Squeaks and rattles is my only thing that does bother me on that list.
I'd complain more about functional cupholders and cabin storage. The Mazda manages it with a smaller cockpit in the Miata, why can't Honda?
^The Miata definitely has more useful stuff packed into the interior. I'll agree.
the AP1 has a pretty solid cup holder. but...only 1. The AP2 cupholders were designed by assholes.
You guys get such bad MPG lol. Makes me wonder if your car needs maintenance or something? Or...if you're driving at crazy speeds on the highway. In which case...you'd get the same MPG in a 100hp lower Miata.

It can be a love-hate relationship for me.
I absolutely hate driving the car in the rain, I don't drive it in the rain on purpose but I've gotten caught unexpectedly a few times. I also don't care for it when driving on hot days with the air conditioner on. So it would never cut it as a daily driver for me.
As a garage queen that I only drive in perfect driving conditions it works great, and I absolutely love it.
