5 Things that bug me about the S2000
^The Miata definitely has more useful stuff packed into the interior. I'll agree.
the AP1 has a pretty solid cup holder. but...only 1. The AP2 cupholders were designed by assholes.
You guys get such bad MPG lol. Makes me wonder if your car needs maintenance or something? Or...if you're driving at crazy speeds on the highway. In which case...you'd get the same MPG in a 100hp lower Miata.

I only purchased mine in March, but over my 3k miles on it, I've averaged 29.8 MPG...including one tank driving from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan back to southern Wisconsin where I got 34 MPG.
Car is pretty much stock, new fluids, plugs, coil packs, recent valve adjustment, K&N intake, stock size Dunlop ZII.
I wish the steering were a bit heavier, but I have no real complaints about the car, its exactly what I thought it was.
This is kind of nitpicking, but the windshield wipers irritate the hell out of me. There is no adjustable intermittent setting. It seems like every time I drive in the rain, it's either too slow and I can't see, or its too fast and the wipers hop or screech on the dry glass.
My car is pretty much a daily driver, so it sees rain fairly frequently.

can't say anything bugs me but if I want to nitpick, how about how stupid is it to have to insert the key, turn it, then push a start button? Either give me a normal ignition or strictly push to start, no key turning required.

Glove box - just don't get it, every miata has one, why couldn't we get a decent glove box?
Seat height adjustment - to a certain height the seat if fine, but to everyone who's not avg height the seat is either too high or too low (for me its too high) wish i could adjust that
inability to install a roll bar w/o trashing the interior - my car is stock, i cant track it since i refuse to mutilate the behind-the-seat plastics in favor of a roll-bar, would appreciate a stock RB or better roll loops that would prevent the need to install rough metals that kill's the car lines

The only thing that has annoyed me with this car, there is no place to put my phone. When it is in the cup holder it gets in the way of shifting. So I either need to lay it in the passenger seat and reach over every time I need to skip a song or I'm stuck with the... radio *shudders*

My only gripes are no second cupholder (can be had from modifry), and nowhere to store my sunglasses. Actually, let me back up, just thought of a couple:
No second cupholder
Nowhere for sunglasses (outside of center console)
No trunk pop button, and key fob doesn’t work when in ignition.
(The above 2 are because I leave my center console locked at all times)
No button to unlock passenger door, have to reach across.
I actually find the trunk to be pretty spacious for what it is. 2 summers ago I went on a house boating trip, and I fit a lot of stuff in my car.
My car came with an aftermarket HU and speakers w/ a 2ch amp, so I have no experience with the stock audio. But that worked well for me. Last year, I swapper out amps and added a JL sub in a corner trunk mounted box, my stereo bumps pretty good now.
For every dislike, I can probably find 5+ things I love. I do wish you could lock the secret compartment though. That would solve my issue with the trunk button and storage for sunglasses/etc.

The trunk pop button is in the glove box....which you can lock so that the secret compartment is locked...

I know it is, and I keep my center console locked. So if the key is in the ignition, I have to shut the car off to get into the trunk. Stupid design.
Yup, just haven't got around to ordering the Modifry cup holder.
I forgot about the wipers, yes not having intermittent wipers is a PITA, I turn them on and off often when it's lightly raining.

Hit the button on your key fob to open the trunk.
