5 Things that bug me about the S2000
I'm tall so I wish the seat was closer to the floor and there was enough leg room to stretch my legs all the way out. A flat bottom or tilt steering wheel would be nice as well to keep the steering wheel off my knees.
My ap1 had the typical occasional hesitation but some 06+ guys deal with a heavier bog. Similar sensations, different causes.

The only thing that has annoyed me with this car, there is no place to put my phone. When it is in the cup holder it gets in the way of shifting. So I either need to lay it in the passenger seat and reach over every time I need to skip a song or I'm stuck with the... radio *shudders*
My only gripes are no second cupholder (can be had from modifry), and nowhere to store my sunglasses. Actually, let me back up, just thought of a couple:
No second cupholder
Nowhere for sunglasses (outside of center console)
No trunk pop button, and key fob doesn’t work when in ignition.
(The above 2 are because I leave my center console locked at all times)
No button to unlock passenger door, have to reach across.
I actually find the trunk to be pretty spacious for what it is. 2 summers ago I went on a house boating trip, and I fit a lot of stuff in my car.
My car came with an aftermarket HU and speakers w/ a 2ch amp, so I have no experience with the stock audio. But that worked well for me. Last year, I swapper out amps and added a JL sub in a corner trunk mounted box, my stereo bumps pretty good now.
For every dislike, I can probably find 5+ things I love. I do wish you could lock the secret compartment though. That would solve my issue with the trunk button and storage for sunglasses/etc.
one bug that drives me up the wall...idc about the ratlles, my 03 accord came with invisible tap dancing squirrels...its not the lack of space( i find it cozy) or the lack of visibility ( really not that bad)
i HATE the notchy shifter. ive learned how to shift, and am shifting with the same consistency, still, why does it have to feel like that?
btw, i know its normal and everyone has already addressed this...ive gotten the tranny fluid changed
back then, i converted my 5spd k24 accord gear to a 6 speed TSX gearbox, and it too was very notchy, especially in the winter time...whats with honda and their notchy 6 speed gear boxes?

I just got an '11 M3, and the thing I like least is the shifter. After the direct, short, mechanical, solid action of the S2k, the M3 feels long, flexy, rubbery, and not confidence inspiring.
In my experience, BMW's (including mine) have pretty crappy shifter feel.
I'd say the 5 speed NSX transmission feels better than the 6-speed in the S2000 I just purchased. But to be fair, I haven't changed out the fluid yet. It could improve dramatically with fresh fluid.
