There's always two sides of story. We all knew Chris is a very responsible person and he told his side of the story. I'm not taking neither side here. I just hope these two GROWN gentlement come settle their differences in this Business transaction the Business ways.

Just chip in my opinions on this reply. What chipper have said is very true in some ways. Race shops build race cars. They are everything you need to make it the way you want. But are there that much demands out there for racing parts on s2000. A car that was solely designed for racing? Because I have only seen all the turbo kit companies making street turbo kit to fit avg. people's budget. Race turbo kit/race cars requires nothing but the best parts which requires nothing but money. Here are some of the people that are leading the way - Blacks2000turbo, Yellow streak, EMC, CBJ, Wes, Jenner, Hobby and ChrisD. And we have all heard their share of stories and mis fortunes. It's not easy as it sounds to make a race car. Sure you can take it to someone like Ligenfelter who are nationaly known for their work on Corvettes. But do you know how much they charge for the stage 2 kit? Almost twice much more than the cost of the car it self. And does that mean you will get a headache free race car after you pay up 40,000-80,000 of money? NO, my neighbor had the Lingenfelter corvette, not just any LF Vette. But the one appear in the Motor Trend Mag. front cover. The yellow one that made over 1,000 hp. And that car was in the shop 80% of the time getting things fixed. Does that say anything about Lingenfelter? NO - Race cars break down all the time. And sometimes you can only try the best to prvent things. Nothing is as easy as it sounds. You can only do so much research and take it to someone that you think you have the best chance with. And when things break, you can lie to yourself and say that this should of never happend. Because you took it to a pro.

What has happend here could have been prevented in a lot of ways. But we all know their are two stories. And I have been following a lot of topics under the hood and on s2k talk. Everytime there's someone that want to build a race car, or want a turbo kit. So many people referred them to CBJ Blindly. Not knowning what CBJ actually have. But those people who referred other's to CBJ, are not here to stick up for him after Hobby spilled the story. And those people who jumped on CBJ Blindly and not knowing his side of the story. Or seen the Manifold itself. I hope next time we all can use better judgement and give eachother the benefit of doubt.

My replies are not intended to anyone. I was happy to see Chris actually went out of his way to make a product that was made for people who are serious about racing and HP. Too bad it did not work out the way it should. I myself also have one of these manifold sitting in my shop. But I will not be posting anything on a public forum like this. Because there's always failure to building success. And sometimes posting on public forum. Can damage one's image which took so long to build. And that is not fair.

my 2 cents

Jeff

I'm not taking any sides here, but I know a few of the people involved or surrounding the situation. But I don't think it's my place to say anything...so I'll let Cjb, Hobby or whoever else elaborate.

Personally, I'm interested in hearing all three sides to the story (since we all know there's side 1, side 2, and then there's the complete truth). Not because I want to see a war unfold or one person bash another...as with life, we can all learn more from our mistakes than our successes.

Chris has learned a LOT in his trials and tribulations of the master turbo quest, and Alex has obviously figured out a few things along the way. So, I would like to hear where each felt things went right and things went wrong from their OWN side (no talk of "Well he should have done this, or should have done that."). Maybe the next person up to bat won't make the same mistakes, or maybe further improve the right choices.

It is true that there is more to this story than we all know. I spoke to the owner of the first shop hobby dealt with about this situation in great detail, getting his side of the story. I also have read many of hobby's recent posts trashing James @ Race Related & cbj80. There are lots of things that hobby is leaving out of his posts. Maybe these omissions help with the sympathy? I'll just say that after hearing both sides, I have none!

I will take anyone on if I am leaving out anything Chris says he paid me back money. Well he owed me $500.00 that I paid him for tuning my car since he will never touch it I asked for it back $400.00 he gave me when I took the car up to Mike Simon. The other hundred was his way of settling with me. He will pay me one way or the other..

As far as race related goes He owes me big He is a real con man, convicted by the way. And I am leaving out that for 2 months I bought the shop lunch or dinner 20 times or moore. I also fixed all of their jewelry for free. Oh yeah he did lend me a car for 3 weeks but at the end made me pay for it. They have something special coming their way..

As far as you guys say every story does have 2 sides Race related broke a legal contract he had between my attorney and his. He never paid a settlement for 1/2 of what he owed me. He is also busy being sued by his partner which he bullied out of there. But that is another story....

There are some people in the breaking grounds for a powerful S2000. You guys know who they are I started over a year ago. Some of these people will suck the knowledge out of you and not share any of their own back. I intend to do it differently, I will share everything I know and the more cost effective way. I am willing to help so no one goes through the pain and headaches that I have gone through. It should be a much better experience than the one I have gone through...Alex
