Is there a better antenna solution available than the block looking one on the trunklid? I really want the XM but i think that antenna looks horrible anywhere on the body of the car.

yes, it is a simple question, but the MY04 has only been out for a short time. I imagine that if someone on here has tried what you want to do, the results would have been posted here.

I'm guessing if any reciever would work it would be Alpine. Blitzsafe and Peripheral make adapters, you might give them a call.

Just for grins I shot Blitzsafe an email asking what the stock HU/factory harness/aftermarket XM receiver interface might be...or if they're working one...

We'll see...

Iv'e got a .PDF file of the XM installation instructions. I'm not sure how to post them. It appears that the XM reciever uses the same bus cable that the factory CD changer has. I don't know of any XM reciever that uses the same connector. (I freely admit to not knowing much about XM recievers) I have installed the Honda XM reciever on a Pilot (which is FM modulated) The accessory reciever is identical to an off the shelf Alpine unit. I'm not sure if Honda stuck with Alpine for the S. Most Honda audio systems are supplied by Alpine and Panasonic.

The OEM XM receiver Honda uses is made by Pioneer

If it is compatible with Pioneer XM tuners then you should be able to use the following:

GEX-P900XM
GEX-FM903XM
GEX-P910XM
GEX-FM913XM

and you will need a CD-IP600 IP-Bus cable to connect them and an XM antenna.

I bought a Pioneer ready HU, a GEX-P900XM, and a CD-IP600 for my Miata so I am assuming that if the 2004 S2000 HU is made by Pioneer that the Pioneer tuners that I listed will work, but I cannot verify it.

Hope this info helps.
