Aftermarket XM with 2004 Head Unit
I have a 02 S2000 , Does anyone know if my stock headunit is " XM READY? " meaning has the harness for it? Or would I have to buy a 04 radio then the accessories? I really want to keep the stock honda headunit in my car..
Going to aftermarket is something I don't really want to do with this car.
Thanks,

Thanks,
this is the big problem here ---
sure, Honda uses Clarion or Pioneer to make the OEM headunit. but at the same time, Honda has a vested interest in selling you their overly expensive OEM XM receiver.
chances are they have deliberately had the OEM XM reciever designed to NOT work w/ normal aftermarket receivers in order to force you to get theirs.
about your only prayer on this is getting an adapter or swapping out the OEM head unit for something aftermarket which also does XM.

item of note:
got my new Crutchfield catalog today -- in it, they list the Alpine CDA-9820XM, which is a pretty normal Alpine unit w/ built in XM radio (no outboard XM tuner to add). they show it listing for $350 w/o antenna. i suspect you'll find it on the street for notably less...
if you're looking for a cheap non-OEM full XM setup, this looks like a good winner. it seems pretty barebones otherwise, but should be better performing than the OEM deck.

This is from the email I got from Logjam:
"With the Pioneer adapter, you can plug in the Pioneer tuner. Tuner power is supplied by the adapter. You will get artist title and channel info on your head unit. We cannot confirm, nor deny that it is
