Hi Steve,

Regretfully, we do not have any adapter that will allow the 2004 S2000 to actually control any aftermarket XM tuner. The PIE adapter that you referred to, will function as an Aux Audio Input in that vehicle, though. You will then need to use Pioneer

Strange. Seems to be a different answer than the one I got. Oh well...

You should at least be able to keep your current antenna (if you want).

So, your true final price would be the $230+$30 for the OEM tuner and bracket, less what you get by e-baying your pioneer XM tuner.... at least this way there are no compatability or other issues and the install looks extremely simple, just bolt on the bracket, slide the tuner box in, and plug in.

hey Chug-A-Bug,

total price from hardtopguy was $253.00 + shipping - plus the cost of a new micro antenna that you linked

but i do like the idea of a clean install

Ok one minor problem bought the terk micro antenna and blitz dual lead splitter and much the same way an old receiver wont work with the 04 head unit -

The trek micro antenna doesn't seem to fit into the antenna "in" of the factory x/m unit

Installing tonight, so i might have to add a dab of solder on the sides to make sure they connect and are snug - I don't want to have to pay $100.00 for a big ulgy honda antenna

shouldn't the blitz splitter go into the tuner, and then the micro antenna goes into the blitz splitter?

the honda instructions for the big ugly honda antenna make it look like it comes with the same kind of connector, with that square plastic housing, that you slip the leads of the big ugly honda antenna into before plugging it into the honda oem xm tuner...

those plastic housing things can be tricky but they do snap in tight. that would totally suck if the honda tuner is designed to foil anything but the honda antenna...

let us know...

The plastic housing is far too big to use with the oem x/m unit i was able to jam them in and hold them in with some good old duck tape

works fine
