Are aggressive offsets the "new rice"...

The hellafail scene is for people who don't know how to drive or don't care about it. I love driving my 2-3 finger gap s2000 around knowing that I won't be chewing fenders and having bumpers with more than 2 degrees of departure angle.... and how could I miss out on its great handling with some crappy wheel/tire combo? Go get a vw and pretend to belong to some ultra exclusive euro cult even though it's just an average family car.
Some people like to feel their car with their heart. Others like to feel their car with their muscles once the G's start building up.
I can't wait for this stuff to die off.

My least favorite part of the trend is the name itself.
"Hellaflush".
From Urbandictionary:
1. Hella - adjective
Originated from the streets of San Francisco in the Hunters Point neighborhood. It is commonly used in place of "really" or "very" when describing something.
"Flush"
Dictionary.com
flush –adjective
1.
even or level, as with a surface; forming the same plane: The bottom of the window is flush with the floor.
I guess this is just another "HELLAFAIL" for the community. Having a wheel that sticks out 3" from the body of the car is not FLUSH. Tucking the edge of the tire under the fender is not FLUSH. There is nothing FLUSH about these setups... but then again the people running them usually aren't too bright to begin with.
At least, like in the case of Alexis, hes finally getting the attention he so desperately craves..

Man, you're shallow as hell. If you're going to call someone out because you're narrow minded and can't appreciate someone else's style, then at least have something decent to back it up.

You went from having a seemingly functional S2000 with properly sized wheels/tires and a "HEY ALEX" plate to hacking/rolling/relocating/slamming/tucking/stretching/poking hellaflushproperstance "SHOW" - Designed to hardpark and circulate internet forums and "stance" meets.
You're doing it for attention. Nothing else. I don't see how this is anything but posing - especially since you don't have the power to back up running 3xx tires.

[QUOTE=rnye,Oct 11 2010, 08:13 PM] Sorry if I'm incorrect.

I do it because I like certain wheels and feel like putting them on my car. Running wide tires is for looks too. Why do I need a certain amount of power? FWIW I'm happy with the 250 whp that my car puts down.
I built this car this way because it's performance doesn't really concern me. It's a daily driver, and it works well as one. I'm too addicted to karting to bother with a track build.

Your car is just expensive rice.

You're either in your 40's/50's and like not doing work on your car, OR just can't afford to spend any money on your S, therefore you think making your car look better, even to yourself, is nonsense and feeling the car with your 'heart' is the only thing you can do.

He's in his early 20's, one of the best drivers I personally know, he's a certified mechanic who has swapped my friends AP2 motor and has worked on my car. He drives balls out everywhere he goes
