To all with hardtops
This is a big problem for me too. I still don't have my S, but I'm debating on if I should order a hard-top or not...top down seems sooo fun, but I don't like the look of a rag-top. Plus I don't have a garage..(with space anyway) so Storing the hard top for top down days would be somewhat a pain..hmm.
hardtop is the only way togo IMO. and if your feeling spontanious, you could always take the top off for a topdown cruise. like i said before, its the best of both worlds. its freedom at its best. hardtop FTW.
I was pissed yesterday when it was 50* and sunny out for the first time in two months and I couldn't drive with the top down because I don't have anyone to help me take the top off
When I had my last S, I drove with the top down all winter unless it was snowing, now I've only driven my new S with the top down twice

I love the top down aspect of the S.... I made the hardtop for basically the extreme Summer and Winter. However, I dont have a safe place to store the hardtop yet so it will stay on the car until i build a custom velvet lined cabinet to protect all my hardwork ....
I have this fear of somebody needing a ladder and not paying attention and dragging a corner across my hardtop if it was just hanging on the wall with no armor....
Seriously, I would cry for weeks....

Definitley hardtop. In Jersey I need it for the winter and of course it looks bad ass. But rest assured, once spring rolls around the HT is staying off till the end of this year prolly (I remember New Years day this year being something rediculous like 70 degrees?!?!). I know alot of people bought this car for performance, but that can be said about alot of cars. And IMO what makes the s2000 special is that it's a roadster. Not being able to drop the top, I think, can take away from the experience.
I've had my car 9mo now, and have had the top down 3-4 times. When I get an HT it will probably stay on for an indefinate amount of time.
I've always liked convertables and have owned more than my fair share, but can't recall running any of them either with the top down more than a very few times.
Maybe it's because I like the looks of a convertable or maybe it's because I like the thought that I can drop the top if I decide to.
Don't know. One or the other or both but the past has proven to me that I really do prefer a roof over my head.
