I've got the same dilemma. In Dubai the summer temps are very extreme and I'd like to have an interior that locks in the cold A/C air. But I do prefer the looks of the car with the convertible top down.

Hard decision...

[QUOTE=mickey finn,Mar 2 2007, 12:27 PM]Do you ever miss going top down when you have the hardtop installed? I'm thinking of getting a hardtop because I love the look and IMO it completes a dropped car with nice wheels.

Anyhow.. how often do you take it all off and go topless or do you just get accustomed to a roof?

I like the look of the Muegen hardtop better than the look of the Honda OEM hardtop, based on some pictures I've seen. What do you all think? Is visibility more limited with one than the other?
The Mugen gives you pretty much the same blind spots as your convertible top. Whereas the OEM one, you can see from a good pic, that the window goes ALOT farther on the sides.

I can say this much: The window on my Vis (Mugen) ht is much better than my plastic window on my softtop. I think it would be better than the newer soft top too, since window on the ht is bigger. I agree though the oem ht has best visibility, obviously because the window wraps around.

Very interesting thread. I never liked convertables, and definitely never thought I'd own one. I got the S because I wanted a sports car, and it was the purest one I could afford to buy and own, so my story starts like a lot of yours.

I guess my first top down drive on a warm spring night showed me that top down is the best way to enjoy this car. I love dumping the roof on a nice morning and actually enjoying the trip to work, stealing jealous glances from all the drones lock in their coffins with their lattes.

I do love the look of the OEM hardtop and plan to get one for the winter, but I'd take it off as soon as the weather turned and put it on as late as possible.
