i just got a 2001 NFR s2000... it has under 5000 miles
anyways im new to s2000's.. and rwd as well. i used to own a gsr'd hatch. i have a couple of questions id like to know
1. whats a decent tire pressure to put the tires.
2. i know its rwd.. i need a good time and bad time to shift kinda summary whether it be straight shots or turns.
3. best rpm to shift between gears on a normal drive.
4. vtec's at what rpm? is it one stage?
like i said IMMA NEWBIE! thanks

1.) check your door sill area type deal, it should be on a little placard to tell you what pressures are recommended.
2.) try to do all your shifting before a corner, not mid corner, lest you upset the rear end. same goes for braking.
3.) 3-4.5k. that might just be me.
4.) go drive it, you'll figure it out pretty quick. VTEC is on or off. iVTEC is mo' variable.

the previous owner was a mechanical engineer for honda. he was always either out of town or working. his service/comapny car is the new CR-V.. im sure he had other company cars but thats his latest one.
the s2000 was his toy. most of it is showroom miles. but i do think he was trying to make it an investment and money out of it. only bad thing about the car is the rear window is cloudy but other than that, engine bay, interior looks like it just came out of the dealership.
still smells new.
and it just saw rain for the first time couple of days ago.
thanks for the answers.. keep them coming!

Watch your VTEC crossover point on corners or in low traction conditions. It can break the tires free and cause badness.
I don't remember what the car was like stock, but I think VTEC in rain and snow is generally not a good idea unless you're really smooooooth and not at WOT.
