Another oil question....
Hey guys, still kinda new here....I purchased a used '01 with 15K on it...I'm going to change the oil. Are there any recommendations as to what kind of oil and filter? Synth, non-synth, 10/30 or 10/40, mobil, castrol etc.? Thanks. Oh, and how many quarts? Thank you!
P.s. I did a search, and was just wondering whether there has been any updates....latest opinions and all..

Thanks. Regarding the Mobil 1, do you use synth. or natural? What about the filters? Any preferences? Regarding the manual, I read it too, but sometimes people have to put in less or more than stated (such as my previous Rx-7).
castrol gtx 10w30, honda filter.
for oil change, just add 5 quarts. turn on car(let oil go through new filter). turn off. check oil dipstick. add more oil accordingly. have fun.
i personally don't care for synthetic oils. i hardly race and drive hard, and i change my oil every 3months/3k miles(whichever comes first) no matter what. i know some people don't like the oem honda filter, but if you're going to change oil frequently, stick with it.

Cool. Thanks. One of the reasons I'm asking, is because I used to own an Rx-7. Oil is actually squirted into the rotary chamber to help lubricate the apex seals...synths were smoother but were considered a no-no by Mazda because they didn't burn off as well as natural, and would leave deposits wich could eventually flake off and destroy the seals.....is there anything bad about using synthetic in the F20's?
