You are probably SOL to tell ya the truth. Car is out of warranty now right?

You can always just patch and stitch up that little hole and file down the burr on the soft top frame so it doesn't do it again.

We should all write a letter to honda. Soft tops should not be wearing out in just a few years.

the part that tears was do to the sharp metal piece but on the 08 it seem that sharp part has been smooth down. I'm not sure if this will prevent any holes though.

same prob with my 06 ... first dealer i went to just ignored my request to fix it under warranty so i will have to try another dealer.

it seems that no one else in australia has this soft top problem though because the dealer said they have never seen such a thing.

I remember reading about people with '06+ S2000s developing wear, too.
My 06 is definitely starting to.

Dealer is going to have to get the district service manager to approve the repair under warranty. Since I'm "certified pre-owned", the top is not technically covered.

So far so good, as the service manager at the dealership was cool. I told him I bought two Hondas from that dealer over the years and he said that actually goes a long way towards getting this comp'd.

Hopefully it won't get nasty with Honda corporate.
