Well this is my first post, and I don't have an S2000 yet.

I am currently looking at one that is used. 2001 with 17,500 miles. Not too worried about the price, just asking the board if there is anything that I need to look for? In other words, problems, errors, leaks and from where? Again, these are problems that won't be seen by an amature eye. I am looking for S2000 specific problems. Easily broken interior pieces, or what have you. Is the fuel door opener supposed to have a handle, or just a little round pull mechanism?

Any help is greatly appreciated, and hopefully I am driving my "new" S2000 by this weekend!

Thanks again!

Hmmm well, I guess there are no problems? I hope not, because I bought it today.

There does seem to be some "vibrations" or maybe just gear noise from the tranny. No grinds or mishifts and the clutch seems strong.

Still has warranty, going to take it to Classic Honda tomorrow, to have them look at it, before I write the final check for the deal.

Thanks for the "welcome".

Hmmm well, this is going to be my daily driver, but I only work about 3 miles away. I wish I could bring myself to by another nice car for the week, but oh well.

I talked to Honda this morning, and they said there is a bulletien for the Clutch Assembly, and that is prolly the noise I hear.

I still have Honda Factory Warranty until June, and I am writing the final check on Friday. So next Monday, I will be taking my S2000 in for the clutch, and in a couple of weeks, I am going to get thier Certified Inspection.

Glad to have a board to go to.

There is a lot of support on the web for my "old" car, which made owning the car that much more enjoyable. Sharing interests, thoughts, and upgrades with fellow enthusiasts!

Check the FAQ at the top of this forum. There is a LOT of information for new owners and retyping it would take me several hours.
