is any rust possible?
Forgive my "un-knowledge;" I have just begun to research the S2K for my next car. It's all aluminum, right? Is there anything on the car that will rust as a result of being driven in the nasty Kansas winters? I plan to get a hardtop and snow tires as part of the winterizing program.
My second winter option is to keep my integra as a beater. But my fiance has a CRV and I'd rather not have 3 cars.
ANY advice is welcome.
Thanks!

I just completed my second winter in this car. You will get a surface layer of rust forming on some of the underside metal parts. This is not a problem if you have not caused any major damage to these parts. All cars these days come from the factory with a very good rust protection. My wife's last car was getting on near 12 years with no aftermarket rust proofing. The initial layer of rust formed almost immediately and stayed that way for 12 years. This rust comes off easily with a wire brush to reveal the base metal. I just brushed it to see. You can also help your car by hosing the underside every time you wash the car in winter. The brake rotors and suspension parts will always show rust even in climates that never get winter weather. It's not something you need to dwell on.
As part of your winterization program, you might consider getting the 3M protective film kit put on the front facing surfaces of the car to protect against flying rocks. A set of winter floor mats will be wise.
