By the comments coming fro That way if your driving without the HT youve got a backup plan should there be any unsuspected rain.

I am not overly concerned with rain, since it almost never rains here. More worried about people effing with my car..lol

I seen a corvette convertible double park the other day, I've never really paid attention to where the nice cars park, but now I've noticed people tend to part a little sideways and miles away from the store when they have convertibles.

I don't double park, because it is kind of douchey, but I park SUPER far, and always tight against one of those endspaces/planters..

A couple of thoughts....much of what i would say has been said....my inititial experience was a 2001 model, which impressed me the moment i put it through it's paces..in town it was like an underpowered civic till i hit the onramp and eventually vtec....

then i drove a 2003 model with a sales person who was terrified of the car, and it was in the rain...so that was not enjoyable...then i just bought a 2004 without even driving it....all the changes looked good on paper and i was coming from my2nd miata which was mechanically junk(2001)....i have never been so impressed with a car, initially and then living withit...i waited till the odo read 600 miles before vetc and i have not been dissappointed.

this is a wonderful car rewarding with most every drive experience...you can take it easy and cruise...doing 45 in 6th gear or even 30 in 4th and then you can get on it...and it is very very fast...i have had cars with more hp and way more torque...but never a better gearbox...enjoy

I was not disappointed at the first drive. I was not expecting a stock S2K to be the fastest car out there, but I like the overall feel of the car. Most car with a V6 is fast nowadays, but few are as sporty as a S2K.

What I don't understand is why the dude parked right next to the sideway on a busy intersection where there's bus stops. I guess because more people would see someone breaking into his car?

first time i tried S on highway it felt pretty much anemic and a lot cars just overtook me.

once i understood that upshifting at 4000rpm like i did in my previous car is way too early and started slaming it to high revs it moves fast.
opening air bx lid, even a little bit, bring more sound and involvement.

as to CR - i don't care much for the fabrix vs. leather but i know i couldn't live whithout softop folded down !!!
as for suspension - it looks like even CR's needs to be uprated - so it doesn't matter too much.

just ot be precise - i know that some (most?) americans divide the world to the NA and ROW but FYI here in United States of Europe AP1 with F20C is the only one we had for all 1999-2008 years.
