Anyone else dislike the start button?

The ONLY thing that I don't like about the start button on my S2k is that it is on the opposite side from the one in my DD. I keep trying to push the AC controls to start the car now.
Perhaps the real issue is that BMW put THEIR start button on the wrong side...

I know I'm going to get slandered on this but I honestly think the start button is rice. Yeah I said it, RICE!
What do you call adding a huge ass spoiler on a car that never sees a day on the track or drag strip? RICE!
What do you call adding crazy stupid body kits just cause some people thinks it looks cool? RICE!
What do you call adding those lame fake fender brake cooler vent things, or shark fin antenna, or all that crap you see at Autozone? RICE!
What do you call adding a start button that is pointless because you have to turn the key anyway? RICE!
It's just adding a pointless extra step to turn on your car just because it's "cool".
What's next, having to turn the key, push the start button and then flip a start switch?!
It was sooooo embarassing when I let my brother (who has a Z8 with a REAL start button) drive my S and was all like "Why do I have to press the start button if I already have to stick the key in and turn it anyway?"
Now if it was a biometric scanner that are in most high end laptops these days then that would be functional and cool.
The only part I like about having a start button is because when I say I have one I get the "wow!" factor, even though the damn thing is useless.
