There are a very few cars that are close to perfect from the factory, the S2000 being one in my opinion. I like my S2000 just like my women. All original equipment, no surgical enhancements, no bumper stickers. The way God and Mr. Honda intended them to be from the start.

yes, I describe the S2000 as a very fine spirit crafted by the best distillers then distilled a couple more times. or a vintage of wine so good you can drink it right away. done right the first time. its that good. I enjoy it a lot more than my 911 which cost almost exactly $100K more when new.

Soichiro Honda died years before the S2000 was even in development. The car may be perfect for you, but that doesn’t mean it is perfect for everyone.

Not sure why that’s hard for y’all to grasp.

Also your analogy to women is weird & massively objectifying

Good analogy! If it doesn't do it for you the way it was originally conceived, then move on. Don't pretend that you can do a better job than the person that designed it originally, or you would be doing that job, and if you are doing that job, then design your own platform, and don't bastardize someone else's creation!

No creative person thinks like that lol. Most designers I know would be stoked people are that passionate about what they’ve made to want to make them their own.

But hey, there’s a reason you need to depend on the creativity of others.

Hope this isn't part of your creativity?

That is not the only way to modify a car.

Yep! Stock '05 SSM here. Picked it up completely unmodified and intend to keep it that way! I've been toying around with the idea of picking up an already modified or high mileage example as a daily as I can't bring myself to mod my current low mileage unit.

Your logic is flawed because modifying cars decreases their value. It’s like dressing In fancy designer clothes to move around fancy (and yes the clothing designers are happy To see you walk the catwalk). BUT the person not screaming for attention, dressed normal, is usually the true Boss.

Default Stock AP1

Got my model year 2000 AP1 completely stock except for new tires. Was purchased 5 yrs ago from the original owner with only 17k miles on it. The car was always garaged and not even broken in!
