I have been told that an engine runs best when the octane matches certain specifications, such as compression rato, altitude, timing, and a host of other factors I don't understand. I've been told that using 93 here in Oklahoma with an elevation of 550' would actually slow down my car, as it's slower to ignite. If my s2k had a higher compression ratio, the 93 would help. Does anybody actually have firm info on this?

Thanks,
Richard
