HELLOOOOOOOO, we ARE a FAMILY here...... And yes it is true about Ebay being a haven for scam artists and thieves. I like to read the feedback of someone Im buying from and sometimes you can easily tell theyre a scam. It makes me mad so I just go work out

I think we scared him off......

Hopefully he will come in here and post some more info on his car. I mean, it will help him sell it since someone may be interested in it here

Someone got ripped off. That car is not worth more than 12 given the title and you can almost assume the half assed repairs.

Maybe afsandywu got ripped, then again, maybe he didnt. Lets see if we didnt scare him off. Maybe he can shed some light on this. You never know, he may have the reciepts for all work done?

he cant have the receipts for the work done cause he bought it with the salvage slip already, unless the other owner handed over all the receipts to him, which would be rare. I thought someone said the VIN number is from an 03, but the car is listed as an 02, and has some 00/01 parts on it, thats what makes it fishy, not only that but the fact that its on ebay and if it was such a good car for that price a local buyer would have already bought it......

also, they say that they bought it only 2 mths ago from a used dealership, a used dealership usually doesnt cough up repair receipts..... also...... he said that he likes it and it runs just fine, so why sell after only two months, I know certain circumstances could call for it, but 2 months seems a little funny. Plus, if it did indeed sell for 20K off the lot, why would he be willing to take such a loss, what, 2000 dollars in a 2month period so quickly?

Oh, you guys are soooooooooooooo insightful!!! This guy has changed his story so many times that maybe we need to keep track of what he says. I buy and sell on Ebay quite often. But I also make sure that when I do it is all on the up and up because I do care about my feedback and want people to trust me and what they buy. Talking about the sale of Ebay stuff, my husband bought a fin for his Integra. He paid for it to a New York address, it was shipped from Canada, and when it got to our house it was in fantastic shape however it was obvious that it had been ripped off of another car and it was sad that we had no idea. These people change their id's all the time. Just go and look at all the seats out of s2k's for sale. My daughter had her 2000 Honda Civic Si ripped off, leather seats gone, wheels, etc. She got the car back but it would not surprise me if those seats turned up on Ebay.

Me thinks he did protest a bit much.

One thing that is interesting, the auction is over and neither the seller and buyer are showing any feedback still. Thats very suspicious on ebay. Feedback is coveted on ebay especially for those with none as it shows that you are "trustworthy".

My $0.02 but I don't think the buyer was real here. I think it was the seller (fake account) or a friend bumping up the bid because they didn't want to let it go for this price.

You should care what happened to it previously. A rebuilt title means the car is worth less then a car with a clean title. IMO you paid too much for it. It's pieced together with parts from various years, like the top. Then with any aftermarket item, that also diminishes the value. From what you have provided, you are at a minimum the second owner; it could have had more. No one knows what the original damage was; it was bad enough for the top to be replaced and a rebuilt title though. Think of your car as the can of worms. Some shops can do a great job rebuilding it and other do a hack job. The hacks will usually try to title the car in a different state. If someone ran a carfax, the car was probably sold in another state and then rebuilt and put up for sale in Indiana.
