Ok, we all know the 290 hp NSX manual tranny will hand the S2K it's collective behind.. but what about the 252 hp Auto NSX Vs the S2K? never heard anyone talk about that..

 

The S2k would probably win. I remember a magazine did an article about an NSX vs a S2k around a track. The S2k lost by about 1 sec. So if an auto NSX with about 40 less hp raced an S2k it would probably lose.

Plus the Auto has greater power loss so it would be more then 40hp less then 290hp six speed nsx.

 

Man, come to think of it, 290 hp 6 speed NSX is priced at around 90k and the value isn't the greatest. Now, think of a 252 hp car costing 90k!

 

Why would an automatic NSX ever be made?

Seems like it would just take away from the true sportscar-ness of it.
