Old thread but tons of super valuable information in here.

I just hit 100k and wanted to find out what I could be expecting with my stock clutch. I am now pleasantly surprised.

so... for historical reference / data:

Year - 02'
Millage - 100200
Clutch - Original
Fluids - Both changed @ 85k. (for the first time by my calculation)
Buzz - Started around 75k. Very inconsistent. Sometimes I go weeks without hearing it.

Driving style:
  • I drive aggressively about 50% of the time.
  • It's my DD.
  • I put about 50 miles / day on it (highway)
  • Rev match / downshift 100% of the time. I loathe brake lights.
*edit - both fluids being the diff and trans.
*edit 2 - forgot to add clutch buzz

Same way you Rev Match in any other car.
Blip the throttling when you down shift to match the revs of the lower gear to the same speed.

My s2k didnt get the clutch TSB done. It had 60k miles on it before I changed it for a stock OEM.

That's beyond the scope of this thread. Search/Google and you'll find plenty of threads and other resources not on this site to help you understand. As stated above, rev matching is rev matching. Nothing special about rev matching with the S.

70K Clutch buzz and all, clutch still going strong. Who cares is it makes noise, its a race car lol. I personally cannot get out of the habit of engine braking, I just rev match its just a great feeling.

I'm at 250,000 miles, still on my original clutch. Lots of highway miles.
