If I valued my child's life I probably wouldn't even consider this. Honestly it's bad news all around. Bad news. If you don't see it that way, hey, your child will pay the price.

You have the following problems:
1. air bag
2. Front seat
3. Facing the wrong way
4. no anchor spots
5. Bad crash protection for child
6. It might be illegal in your state
7. It's bad parenting/failure to properly protect your child
8. Small distance between chair and dash - hard on kids head if they hit.
9. Roll over protect while good, metal is known to cause head problems

I checked the ministry and appearantly you can put a baby seat in the passenger seat of a two seater car as long as there are no air bags or they have a switch to be turned off. For vehicles that don't come factory with the switch you have to get a permit from the ministry to get a air bag switch installed. Now i just need to if anyone has done it or has the know how to convert the ap1 to the ap2 system with the weight sensitive air bag. I would really love to be able to pick my daughter up from the baby sitter on the way home in the S instead of having to go home to pick up the sedan first and to be able to take my daughter out with me in the S. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. please pm my with any info.
There's no air bag cut off for the AP1. If the airbag deploys, it is highly likely that a baby in a car seat will be killed.

I can't remember the specifics and I'm far away from my my car. But the S2000 owners manual specifically says do not put baby/child seats in this car. They list an age/weight that is acceptable for travel in the S. I would in no way take the chance with my baby. And yes, I'm 40, and when I was a kid I rolled around in the back of my dads truck. And chances are your kid would be fine for a quick ride in the S. But if something did happen, you would have to live with that. And I can;t imagine how hard that would be. Be safe, use a car that is suitable for transporting your most precious of cargo.

Indeed. I didn't know about booster seats for cars until a few days ago when this thread inspired me to do some searching on the laws in Canada.

I would probably use the S in emergency situations with a baby seat only. Too risky in the S. Otherwise back seat in my sedan

Yep.. sounds like a lot of overworried helicopter parents in here.. Or in the words of George Carlin.. baby worshippers. lol

I remember when seatbelts didn't even have shoulder belts. Growing up at 6 or 7 going for a ride in my dad's pontiac. I was just fine, but you'd have retards screaming how dangerous it is now. Amazing how sissified everyone is these days, scared to drive their perfectly good car because jr. is gonna die. Pretty pathetic actually.

Back on topic. Sounds like you have your answer. Goto the ministry and see what's needed to install an airbag switch.
