Dyno is set for tomorrow (Wednesday, April 4) at 12:00PM PST. I will have my car dyno'd with Comptech latest check valve and comptech exhaust, Dave will dyno his with ghostbooster fix and then with the latest check valve. We should be able to get some good numbers to show comptech. I believe dave has rigged up something so he can easily switch from electronic fix to check valve fix. We are trying to eliminate as many variable as we can...i.e. different cars, exhaust etc, etc. Therefore if we dyno dave's with both fixes everything is constant except for the check valve or electronic fix. I wont be able to post results until late tomorrow night but dave might be able to earlier in the evening.

Been thinking (ah oh, not that) but I'm not so sure the dyno will show much between the latest check valve and the ghost pack. Reason being the newest valve breathes enough, no big pressure drop across the valve, hence no sustained pressures above atmo seen by the MAP sensor.
The problems I'm seeing with the newest check valve are all transients, non steady state throttle position problems.
With dyno pulls at full throttle from sub VTEC, I'm not sure how much diff there will be.
Don't get me wrong, I hope there's a huge difference, then I've got some more power to be had in the near future

You guys ROCK!

I don't know guys... I just installed Shad's first MAP boost revision with the external blow-off valve (most of you are getting your second MAP revision in the mail) and I got no hesitation and absolutely the smoothest acceleration right to 9000rpm.

In fact the acceleration was so smooth and fast, the cop witnessing the event congratulated me with THREE tickets. They were looking in their code book for everything they could write me a ticket for. I am surprised I wasn't arrested.

I hate my supercharger.

just a note on dynoing:

before I dynoed my car (w/original check valve), I had not felt any hesitation. On the dyno, however, at WOT, it was clearly obvious that something wasn't right - steep drop in power at 6800 rpm (ECU threw a code?). the dyno may very well show a difference, even if it is not felt.

rock, I agree 100%, just didn't want people to get their hopes all up and sh!t.
Based on our in depth understanding of the problem, and what specifically causes it, I don't think the dyno will show huge power gains, but like Keith mentioned, might smooth out some of the transitory anomalies ( them are big words).
