shaner,

give it a few days and you may be back to (ab)normal. I don't know if external factors (humidity, barometric pressure) play a factor or if the ECU adapts (can it do this?) or what, but when I installed the first update, everything felt great for the first two days. Then the hesitation came back, but it was not as obvious. I now seem to be in a steady state where throttle response in higher gears is dull (as opposed to sharp) and it seems like in any gear between 3-4K rpm there is decreased response; not quite hesitation, but clearly less than 100% response.

Unfortunately, if this happens it probably won't make your tickets go back

I have been following this thread with interest because I would like to get the supercharger by the end of the year. Can someone give me a summary? Are you guys glad that you bought the SC, even with the problems you are seeing? Is there a real fix possible without reprogramming the ECU?

I just wanted to post that since installing the new check-valve I haven't had any major problems. It's been on for more than a week and I've only had one slight hesitation. The weather has been in the range of 40 degrees to 70 degrees, rain, dry, etc.

The car is at the shop now getting gauges installed, I will be picking it up tonight, I will take pictures and post.

Hello everyone, just got back from Dynospot. Dave will post results later. I don't have the plots and I won't be able to get on later today. Just a quick overview.

Dave's GhostBooster is definitely smoother than check valve. There are no real power gains with dave's fix but we thought would be the case anyway.

Comptech Exhaust adds about 10hp as per my dyno compared to Dave's dyno.

Dyno#'s mine: 289.1 hp 172.9 torque
dave: 278.8 hp 169.7 torque I not real sure what the exact numbers are for dave but they are close to what I have listed.

It may be climate variable but I got 292.5 hp on my best run with stock exhaust.

The Blue run is with the newest comptech check valve.
The Red run is with the GhostBooster...
the Green run is from another S2K that came in a few days ago.

Yup, But it sorta makes sense... its there for the same reason VTEC exists... valve timing and flow loose efficency
before the VTEC finaly kicks in. The consequences are more pronounced when SC'd. It Seems that a lowering of the VTEC engagment RPM would help here. Also notice the drop in the Blue(check valve) torque plot at 2500RPM. I'm pretty sure thats due to the check valve not opening until 2650 RPM, when it should have opened earlier. Something the ghostbooster keeps from happening.

I took 7 pulls altogether. The first 3 were with the GhostBooster and were rather disapointing in regards to peak HP with the first run being the highest of the 3. ~168HP i believe, i dont have those run data here in front of me. The next 2 runs were with the Check Valve and resulted in the Blue plot you see in the chart. The next 2 runs were with the GhostBooster again and resulted in the Red plot you see in the chart. There was about 10 to 15 minutes of cool down time between the 3 sets of runs.
