I cant wait to get my S4 so I can drive normal by the way, got a call from the dealer and it is on a boat..should be here in a few weeks...

I should fight it and tell the judge I was testing out our new fix for the SC and take this thread with me. He should be impressed with all of the work everyone has down to find a solution. or tell him my car was hesitating and i had to floor it to clear it up....

Keith, your just going to continue your streak in the S4

Speaking of working out the SC problem.
I just installed the Split Second Voltage Clamp, and good thing I finagled the custom adjustable unit out of them.
The thing came adjusted to clamp at 2.915V and that was too high. I adjusted down to 2.905V and it was still too high. Next try was at 2.888V and it seems to work smooth.
Only time will tell if the thing is too finicky to handle day to day weather variances.

I installed v. 3.10 on my way to work, it seems to work fine - but 3.0 was working fine for me too. If I get a chance I'll run a GTech 1/4 mile tonight to see if the old valve was letting the engine retard at all.

Some people have asked to see pictures of where my Exhaust Temp probe and Air/Fuel are installed at. I posted pics in this thread:

hey folks, check out this thread

1st thought on this is that maybe those of us still having problems are victims of marginal map sensors.

Other thought has to do with the comment that these MAP sensors are used on several Honda models. I may check the local junk yards to see if I can salvage the MAP and the mating connector. This could give the parts needed for a plug and play electronic solution.

First thing I may try though is get a new MAP sensor and see if this helps any.

rocketman,

It looks like you can only get the MAP wiring harness connector by buying the whole engine wiring harness... for $284.77 This wiring harness probably goes all the way to the ECU which would probably help VAFC people too...

shaner,

Talking to Mike B. at comptech, that's what he said - to get the connector you have to buy the whole harness. That's why I want to look in a junkyard if this MAP sensor is common to a number of Honda models. I figure either the whole harness will be cheaper, or maybe I can get just the map sensor and connector cheap.
