OK I just read every page from #1. WTF is wrong with this country??? You can't have anything nice anymore. I would have gone after the techs insurance company also!!! I'm so sorry that they screwed you in which YES they did (in case someone wants to argue that). I'm glad for you it is over and you have your new S but come on. When did people quit admitting when they were wrong (That's not something I need answered. Thanks anyway) I would have gone after the owners things also. See how they liked it. BTW not only proud S owner but a proud GUN owner as well I hate that people have to do through ordeals like this. What we need to do is collectively get togather and

I am a bit unclear on what compensation was actually awarded here?

I see there is a new car.

But how did that come about?

Did the offending dealer offer you a killer trade in deal?

Did the dealer offer you a cash settlement that you utilized at a different dealer?

Or, did you just trade the car in somewhere and get no compensation for the loss?

OK Figure this, His car was worth $21000+ then his rims.so let's say $22000+. He took it in for transmission work. They fixed his car for $12500 (But you need to put this under car value) The depreciated value of his car from a major accident is far less then $21000 in KBB trade in value is $8500 (I used trade in because I assume he would buynext car from dealer) Now you do not get 8500 + 12500 because 12500 is what it wook to bring the car back to the value of 8500. Now he settled for $2500. So he goes in with a car worth $21000+ comes out with around $11000+ (8500 + 2500). Leaving his assests a net -$10000. Does that seem right to you? Makes me sick to think.

I believe he addressed all this a page or two prior. He took the small settlement, moved, and bought a new car without their help...

I also followed this story from day 1. I was disappointed to hear that you only got $2500 out of it (they fixed your car, but that should be a given). However, it looks like things worked out for the better in the end. Congratulations on your AP2; a great way to start off the new year.
