Any updates on the Colgan Bra? Does the heat from the headlights affect the added plastic inserts?

I am having this modification done tomorrow morning on my Colgan in anticipation of driving to Asheville in a few weeks. I found a local auto upholstery shop, as Spectre suggested. It is going to cost $50.00. I will keep you posted also.

The HIDs don't put out as much heat as standard lights do. You could get the StonGard headlight covers installed and that would provide some insulation if the plastic you have used in the modifications starts to get too hot. They are inexpensive and easy to install. I will have some in Asheville for those interested.

I used "bras" on my cars for years, and just washed the wife's Accord that still has the vinyl one (StonGard doesn't have a kit for that old of an Accord) and it had tar that got under the fabric fossilized into the paint. I'm so glad I don't have that problem with my other 2 Hondas that StonGard had kits for.

David, do you recommend Stongard for those of us out in the boonies?

Modification complete. Took about 20 minutes.
Pinky, we don't live that far apart. We could meet and
have this done on your bra if you wish.

I only use the bra for highway travel. Also, before you ask, I have the hood piece, just didn't put it on this morning.
