"Engine Torque Damper". One of our sponsors carries this for many other cars. It's not quite ready for the S. Was supposed to be available by summer.

For the same reason that our shifters are so precise and solid, they transmit back vibration and movement. Small, stiff, direct linkages... Don't worry about the shifter moving around...keep both hands on the wheel except when you are actually moving the shifter. If you want some entertainment though, watch the shifter as you hit an oblique bump...ie the wheels go over it separately...it can move around like crazy!

Mine vibrates as well. I usually notice it when I'm in 3rd gear or higher-- mainly because if I am in 1st or 2nd and moving, I keep my hand on the lever. Vibrations are about 3-4 mm left and right of center. I never thought much of it, since I have seen quite a few MT cars that do the same.

My tranny was quite smooth when I first got it, then got notchy after a few hundred miles. Up until last week (1200 mi or so) it was getting really bad at times. This week it smoothed out a lot, and now there is only slight notchiness in a couple of gears.
