Break lose upon VTEC?
I went and purchased a pair of Sumitomo HTR Z III on tirerack for like $212 shipped. (read some reviews, good bang for the buck and daily obviously will be better than what I have right now).
I realize my front is going bald too so I will have to change those as well but getting rear first since RWD, scary with no traction. can drive but have to be careful on the rpm rang eand throttle.

if you are new to your s2000, they do that, the weight is centered so that when you are mid turn and you goose it the rear begins to spin out...just give it gas gradually when in a turn and then power out just as your rear is through the apex. sure balding tires will do it too and wet weather and cold, but power applied at the wrong time will spin...
Since this car is freshly aligned from dealer (non-honda dealer) and the fact I am replacing the rear tires (only tires in OEM SPEC).
Would I still need to do alignment or it would be safe to say, no need to spend the money yet.
I do plan to change the front tires but not yet and was wondering if an alignment is neccessary just for a rear tire change. If not, this would be saving me the money and time to have to do two alignments.

no
Usually I would say no but I wanted to be sure that the S2k didn't have some sensitive or requirment. This is my first time owning a RWD and specially a AP2
