I used to live in Laguna Niguel and had a similar experience with my SeaDoo XP which happens to be a very similar color of yellow. Everytime I would clean it up after a ride, the gnats apparently saw it as some giant food source or something. Those bugs have no respect......viewing your beefy, sporty roadster as an oversized flower.

I've noticed this a lot with yellow vehicles. My sister, years and years ago, had a yellow Chevette, and she had bees in her car all of the time. More recently, my ex and I had a yellow Xterra, and the bugs LOVED it, so I guess it was the allure of the yellow.

I've noticed that the opposite sex FLOCKS to the red... thanks, you yellow owners can keep your yellow; I prefer red's effect!

Be careful with the bees in the area. A lot of the bee hives in So Cal have been taken over by the killer bees.

I'd have to agree with Sondra on why to get RED.

Same problem here, too. Although the colder weather has cut down on them considerably, next spring it will start all over again.
