Only if I was doing the repairs myself. i would never buy a crash damaged car repaired by someone else.

yes, depending on the price and driving condition. bought my 01 in the summer with a rebuilt title (front end collision) and the only problem it gave me so far is a broken cat. still drives good.

just get the car inspected if it is wrecked

From what you've said, you should just stay away from wrecked cars. You mayl pay more, but that's the breaks.

I did, and haven't had any problems. Mine was a CPO and I believe to pass as a CPO vehicle there cannot be any frame damage. Mine had a "accident reported" at 19K miles in 2004. Then was Honda CPO'd and bought by a older guy who drove it 3000 miles a year and stored it in the winters. This was good enough for me to pull the trigger. So currently I have a lifetime hard top, last year AP1 with 48K miles, that still has 6 months of Honda CPO warranty left.

Carfax really should be taken with a grain of salt anyway. You can find obviously wrecked S2000s on ebay with clean carfaxes. You can replace a bumper cover via an insurance claim and it can show up as "accident reported". I previously owned a GSR that had a $2000 hail damage claim, yet the carfax was clean as a whistle.

I have also had all my servicing done at Honda dealerships since I bought mine, yet none of the service records show up on autocheck.

All "accident reported" labels should not be treated the same. Then again, because many people refuse to buy one (even though a "clean" record may not mean it actually is) considering a "accident" vehicle can benefit you price wise.

Like ANY used vehicle, have it checked out, drive it, ask for records, and make your decision.
