I was just wondering what your opinions are on buying a used s2k with a previously damaged rear end? It wasn't too specific, but I know that the rear bumper was replaced. It looks completely fine from the pictures and i plan on looking at the car tomorrow, thanks.

I'd suggest checking your subforum for a knowledgeable owner to help you out (or a good local shop to do a pre-purchase inspection).

 

Bumpers are plastic, and can be damaged beyond worth repairing quite easily, even potentially from some parking lot mishaps. If it was just the bumper, that is no biggie at all. But you need to find out if it was more than that.

These are robust cars, in that they can sustain accident damage and often be repaired back to near zero impact on what counts, appearance and handling.

But there is always that point which damage is too much. You need to find out more details.
