A/C temp fluctuating
I have a little over 1k miles on my 06. Upon delivery, I discovered a problem with the A/C. The vent temp would fluctuate from mild cold to room temp, I'd say a 20-25` swing. When I brought it in to the Honda dealer for service, I noticed quite a few A/C problems on the appointment book. After they "fixed" it, I did notice a difference in the temps. The vents temps got much colder, ice cold. But, the fluctuating remained. The temp swing is now about 15` and it's cooler on the warm part of the cycle. The temp fluctuation occurs at steady cruise, mild street driving and idle. I know rapid accereration shuts off the compressor, that's not the problem. Is this cycle normal for Honda or S2k's?

Every one I test drove before buying mine did that. After a couple months of ownership, I have decided that it is directly related to RPM.
My hypothesis: Not many A/C pumps are made to do 9Krpm. To compensate, Honda put a larger pulley on the A/C pump in order to gear it down. The problem: it doesnt pump hard enough at low RPMs (below 3k). Try driving normally, but shifting around 5k and see if the A/C stays colder.

I thought there was something with the condenser shutting off under hard accel...
...but I do know that the A/C system is a closed system, and you'll get cold fluxes because the heat pulled from the cabin into the coolant does not always get fully dissapated before the coolant has to pull more heat again.

Just out of curiosity, I'm going to test the high RPM theory which means I'll just have to drive with a bit more gusto.
