C6... why?
There not even the same class of car the vette compared to the s2000 feels like a pig - that's partially because of it's seating position that's blind spot central and partially because of it's physical dimensions also it's ground clearance is in no way comparable to an s2000 that can actually be quite fun on a back stretch of road with mixed surfaces. The vette however is more power, quieter and get's way better mileage and pulls like a train and on a prepared wide enough surface like a race track is pretty fast.
Personally i think the latest GTO was more of a sports car, but the Corvette is what it is and for the money does better at it than anything else - the Z06 with a little bit of work just dominates on track and sounds sweet doing so.
The interior on the vette is garbage and should never be uttered in the same sentence as even the most base model civic.

True, but lets be fair though. The GTO is most certainly no where near a sports car IMO. It's a muscle car, but in 06 it could be had for $25-27k brand new as the car failed the market, and for those who wanted straight line power and highway brute force, it was the way to go. Best power the the buck, and the deals were crazy on that car. 400 HP, 400 TQ, low 13s 1/4 mile bone stock.
So you're telling me that a 2.0L 260-hp 2877lb. 2 seater RWD convertible priced in the high $29k range is NOT meaning to be like or be in competition with the S? Right....based on what exactly?

The Solstice is not at all intended to be like an S2000. It's a boulevard cruiser and parts bin GM to keep costs down.
