The vette however is more power, quieter and get's way better mileage and pulls like a train and on a prepared wide enough surface like a race track is pretty fast.

Personally i think the latest GTO was more of a sports car, but the Corvette is what it is and for the money does better at it than anything else - the Z06 with a little bit of work just dominates on track and sounds sweet doing so.

The interior on the vette is garbage and should never be uttered in the same sentence as even the most base model civic.
i like interior in new vette. its leather wrapped

You see the C6 and ask "why?"... I see the C6 and ask "why not?"...

Baaahahaha. I love that video. "Just cruising in the S2000 is fun" is one of the reasons I bought the S2000 and because tires for an S2000 are half the price of what they are for a Corvette.

Ask not what your C6 can do for you, but what can you do for your C6.

Have you even driven either car? the GTO is heavier, worse handling, and more pig like in its feel than the Vette by marathons! The GTO was nothing but another pony car.

True, but lets be fair though. The GTO is most certainly no where near a sports car IMO. It's a muscle car, but in 06 it could be had for $25-27k brand new as the car failed the market, and for those who wanted straight line power and highway brute force, it was the way to go. Best power the the buck, and the deals were crazy on that car. 400 HP, 400 TQ, low 13s 1/4 mile bone stock.

So you're telling me that a 2.0L 260-hp 2877lb. 2 seater RWD convertible priced in the high $29k range is NOT meaning to be like or be in competition with the S? Right....based on what exactly?

Someone obviously hasn't seen a Solstice GXP with 295 R comps at the local autocross...

That's why I consider C6 not an upgrade, not at the same level, but a clear downgrade from the S2000.

I agree, and I speak from experience! Sold my 08 C6 to pick up my S
