CAI- Worth it? Which one?
QuickS has it right.
Two points. First, an after-market CAI increases the risk of getting water in the engine, getting hydrolock, and needing a $10,000 repair.
Second, if the OEM intake lets water into the engine, it's a warrany repair. If the CAI lets water in, it is no longer a Honda warranty issue. You'd be stuck trying to get the CAI manufacturer to pay for the damage their product caused to your car. Not likely easy.
Here's a better solution. Move to Wyoming and drive when all the cold air you want is free. Even in the summer, we have evening and morning cold air on tap.

Hey Pete, have you considered another stainless steel piece to extend your horn section so it sits just in front of the wheel well area? That's the beauty of the PRM CAI pipe...it angles right into the wheel well...Gerry just needs to get that horn longer so it sits closer but I solved that problem easily enough when I bought my PRM a year ago. It's fairly easy with a trip to Home Depot. Dremel out the faux brake duct and close up that gap between the wheel well entrance and horn and you should see a bit more response at speed due to increased air flow snaking up into the area and directly into the horn. That was my experience when a PRM owner. Nice engine bay for sure!
I'm not sure, I'm having my doubts now, I like the idea of a cheap and easy gain, but i do drive my car in the rain (it's my only car) so I need a soulution that makes the risk of hydrolock NIL- something like kodokan's looks good,
Kodokan, what brand is that? Does it install like that or did you mod it?

Anybody have pics showing the inside of the PRM? I'm definately a fan of loud short ram intakes on the S2000(good sound , no hydrolocking) I have a 3" civic intake on my S2000. A bunch of us in the Tampa bay area did a dyno day yesterday . All of us had various mods(intakes, exhaust, nitrous, ect.) My short ram intake had the loudest , most abrupt , VTEC transition with the most H.P. gains at VTEC engagement(instant 35+H.P. not peak) Go to regional communities, then Florida S2000 owners and look under dyno day in July if your interested. It was also over 100 degrees in the shop yesterday with very high humidity, but we all managed to dyno over 200W.H.P.
