Can "rare" S2K color combinations be quantified?

Oh, I don't know, there's a fair number of them that popped up on this forum not long after Honda started selling them. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that I've noticed more than a couple of them here. I've only seen one in person though.

There is a gentleman by the screen name Kobe who posted a Midnight Blue pearl over in the gallery a few months back.I think it is a VGS model from Japan. That would be the rarest I believe

Regarding exterior color only, this was the breakdown late as of August 2002.

35% Silverstone Metallic
18% Black
13% NF Red
10% Sebring Silver
10% Spa Yellow
08% Suzuka Blue
06% GP White

I think this was the breakdown for that year (not overall MY00 - 02 sales), and I don't know if this was US market only or more. But anyway, I'm fairly certain that GP White remains the rarest overall. Of course, you have the '04 intro of Rio yellow which neve existed before, and you also have the situation that Monte Carlo blue has never been sold in the US, so ultimately it depends on how you define rare.

Tried getting a black with red/black interior here in Canada. Honda Canada made a cross-country search and found NONE available -only 2 ordered, both sold already. Same for black with black interior. 3rd choice was GPW, here it's only available with red/black interior. They found ONE. That's it. ONE. I jumped on it. Several silvers and yellows available, but I nixxed yellow and my wife did the same to silver.

I seriously doubt there will be many black or whites (berlina / grand prix for those out there who are anal) available in Canada this year because Honda Canada has over 30 2003s left over from last year and didn't order any of those 2 colors for this year. Only available one's were those ordered by dealerships (given the small market and weather here, very few were, and those that were seem to be yellows and silvers). Ordering one from Japan was 3 + month wait, but no guarantees, might never get it I was told (production issues).

So after all that, a 2004 GPW with red/black interior in N/A should should be darned rare since you can't get one in the US. Course some could say I am tooting my own horn... Whatever....
